“Another Light” (Otra luz) es el primer opus del saxofonista ecuatoriano Daniel Bitrán en dúo con el guitarrista francés Donald Régnier. Es también el primer disco de música improvisada del sello. Si Daniel se concentra en explorar las diversas facetas sonoras del saxofón soprano, Donald utiliza varias guitarras (eléctrica Gibson, acústicas de nylon y metal, guitarra de 12 cuerdas) en el disco, aportando una variedad de atmósferas y ambientes. Una de las ideas del disco es de acercarse a la música improvisada sin idea pre-establecida, especialmente permitiendo a la música tonal de interactuar con cosas más abstractas. Los 2 músicos se conocen bastante bien, por haber trabajado juntos en varios proyectos, incluido el disco de canciones de Daniel, Cantos de Tierra (ADL006). Este disco es también el primer disco de música improvisada grabado en el Ecuador.

« Another Light » is the first opus by Ecuadorian saxophonist Daniel Bitrán & French guitarist Donald Régnier. It is also the first improvised music album of the label. While Daniel concentrates on exploring the sonic possibilities of the soprano saxophone, Donald uses various guitars (electric Gibson, nylon & steel-string acoustics & 12-string) along the album, bringing a wide variety of musical atmospheres & moods. One of the idea behind the recording is to approach improvised music without any pre-conceived idea, especially allowing tonal music to interact freely with more abstract/ambient/noisy stuff. The 2 musicians know each other pretty well as they’ve been working together on different projects, including the songwriting work of Daniel, Cantos de Tierra (ADL006). This recording is also the first album of improvised music released in Ecuador.
